Missed
What a day we had,
We guitared and whistled
Squeezboxed and fiddled.
Sang ourselves horse
And drunk the pub dry.
People heard us from the hills
And came down to listen and spent the day.
We burned in the Cornish sun
As we joked and played,
And the stars came out to see us
As we played our pagan ways.
Rodger said to the landlord
What a wonderful day and he said
Yes! I sold fifty meals
The idiot had missed it.
