Dear all,
After three days of the Cropredy festival, four bottles of scotch
and a rainy Saturday, it took me a week to recover. The festival was great,
lots of good music, country Joe (give us an F) The muffin Men (all ex
mothers of invention) doing Frank Zappa stuff, The Ukulele Orchestra of
Great Britain (Wild thing and shadows hits on ukulele) and of course
Fairport Convention. The place has a great atmosphere and there was much
laughing and boozing. Merwin had an idea for a Steve Carey memorial website
which I thought was a great idea but I want it now! And now I have it!

So if you have comments, embarrassing pictures, anecdotes, dirty stories or
any ideas what to put on it, send them to the webmaster, the e-mail address
is on the website. Please understand that this is "a bit of a laugh" just a
bit of fun. So come on chaps, lets see what we can do.
On the health side, I saw Dr Death on the seventh of September and asked
about the chemo that he'd offered. He said that it was no cure and might
increase my life span by a couple of months, which to my thinking is hardly
worth it. But what he did say was that there was a good chance that it would
increase the quality of life that I have left so I think I'll have to give
it a go. I can stop it anytime that I want so I think I'll go for it. I have
another appointment with him on the sixteenth of October.
