Whisky of the week 6
Ardbeg ten year old, single Islay malt, non chill filtered, 46%. Peaty and a bit smoky, this is like a scotch oil slick. A whisky to savour or guzzle, that’s up to you. On show here with monkey socks, all the rage on Islay. I will be celebrating my birthday on the 6th of May when I hope to sample all six whiskies of the week.
Whisky of the week 7
Caol Ila 18 year old Islay single malt. The first whisky of the week that is old enough to vote. Typical Islay whisky, seagulls and seaweed, very smooth and difficult to keep in the bottle. To think that I was but a child when this was made. I’m sorry it’s taken me so long to change whisky of the week but I am a busy chap you know.
