I just got back from my two weeks holiday in England. I had a fantastic time and got to see and do just about all that I set out to. Merwin has been awarded the golden wheel with cluster for his chauffeuring above and beyond the call of duty. The Cropredy festival was great especially Show of Hands. If you don’t know Show of Hands and you like folk music look them up, they are the hound’s goolies. I had a massive tent all to myself which acted as a club tent where we all sat up half the night playing guitar and drinking wine. We went down to Cornwall and somehow managed to miss the really bad weather. We had stop offs at Barton on Sea to see my mum, Worthing for Kim and Phil and Bristol for a curry with Glen and Sal.
I’m now home and it’s back to reality. I start round two of the chemo on Monday 30th and should be home on the Wednesday morning and then I get a top up (two hour session) on 7th of Sep. Round three is on the 20th and 21st of Sep with the top up on the 28th. Then it’s all the fun of radiotherapy. For about three or four days after each chemo I am totally knackered, It’s a good time to phone and cheer me up as at these times I’m at my lowest ebb.
I still have hair. It seems to be thinning out more than falling out, there always seems to be a little pile of hair by the drain in the shower. I bought a wonderful penguin hat at Cropredy to keep me warm when I do go bald
