Dear everyone,
I’ve finished with the chemo, I had the last top up yesterday and although I still feel like crap it’s a great weight off my mind to know it’s over. I start with the radio therapy on the 28th of October for five weeks, so between now and then I can have a break except for a CT scan on the 4th and a PET scan on the 18th; I expect these are just excuses to stick more giant needles in me. You would think that I would be getting used to needles by now but each time seems to get worse. I’ve decided to be reborn as an enormous mosquito and spend my life in attacking hospital staff to revenge me.
All this chemo rubbish has seriously affected my alcohol intake, my liver and kidneys think my throat has been cut (which it has in fact, due to the look see operation). So I must do another cocktail party as soon as my bank balance and I are up to it.
I still have hair! Three rounds of chemo and I still have hair, it’s thinned out and gone grey but it’s still there.
I’ve not much in the way of plans this month; I’m going to see Slaid Cleaves in Haarlem on the 10th. Mulligans (a pub on the Amstel for those of you that don’t know it) have asked me to do a track on their next CD which means I’ll have to do a musical evening with some friends sometime this month, should be fun. Anyhow, that’s all for now,
Love,
Steve.
