Whisky of the week 8
The Glenlivet, aged 12 years in oak casks, 40%. The first Speyside whisky on whisky of the week. I’m not so wild about Speyside but I quite like this one, smooth and fruity, just like my bottom. No seagulls in this one. Seen here with the portrait that I did of Joanie (and Fido the red doggy). She kept pestering me for a picture and would you believe it she still wasn’t satisfied! I told her that it shows her inner torment and her real self, her soul on canvas but I don’t think she’s convinced.
Whisky of the week 9
Redbreast pure pot still Irish whiskey aged twelve years from the people that bring you Jamesons. I quite like this one but it’s difficult to describe so I’ll let Sally do it - ok, I’m not a big whiskey drinker (or any kind of drinker) these days but this was very pleasant, I didn’t go into shock at all, nor spit it out. Quite a gentle experience, with a nice ‘hot water bottle’ sensation in the solar plexus. I’d do it again.
